Abducted The Guardian journalist freed in Delta

The abducted state correspondent of The Guardian newspaper in Bayelsa state, Julius Osahon, has regained freedom.

Osahon, who was kidnapped around 8pm, Sunday, March 28, was released Friday night in Ughelli, Delta state.

A post on the WhatsApp loop of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, confirmed his release

GLO Accountant commits suicide in Lekki June 1, 2022. Folake Abiola, a Chartered Accountant with one of Nigeria’s leading telecommunications company, Global Communications Ltd (GLO), on Saturday, allegedly committed suicide by ingesting an agro-chemical substance called Sniper. She is known to be a kind and quiet person, a thorough-bred professional, who is very good at discharging her duties. She is unmarried, has no child, presently not in a relationship, but participates actively in Church activities. She was believed to have shown little sign of depression lately and was encouraged to seek help by her colleagues until she decided to end her own life yesterday night in her Lekki apartment. Reports gathered by Sunrise News confirmed that her remains have been deposited at an undisclosed mortuary in Lekki, while the Police Authorities have commenced investigation into the cause of death.
